Novell and Quick Fields

Hello,

 

Out of all our clients we only have one on a Novell Network.  I am totally unfamilair with how it works but we have had to upgrade them from Quick Fields 7 to Quick Fields 8 because of a server upgrade.  We have tried Quick Fields 8 and even the new Quick Fields 9 and neither work if the machine is logged into Novell.  

 

When you open the Quick Fields program it simply will not launch.  If I have the task manager up I see the Quick Fields process for about two seconds and then it simply dissapears.  If they log off the machine and log in with "Workstation Only" then Quick Fields has no problem starting up.  Has anyone seen this or is it a known issue.  

 

They are still on XP and I have no idea what Novell version they are on.  Kind of a weird one..

Hi Chris,

 

This is not a known issue, nor is it expected behavior.  In order to get this straightened out as quickly as possible, I'd recommend that you open a support case. I'm sure they'll be able to get you up and operational in no time.

Check C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\Quick Fields\Errors. Are there any txt files created there when you try to launch Quick Fields? Open the latest one and paste its contents into this thread.
