Question

WebAccess light ImportAction.aspx

asked on July 25, 2013

We did find some of the functionality we're looking for in WebAccess light's ImportAction.aspx.  It is able to import a document and choose a volume, and some playing around i figured out passing the Id= variable in the url allows us to change the folder it imports to.  We're really hoping there's a list of parameters we can pass this url for other options, or at the very least i really need to be able to name the document something other than it's windows name.  I've tried the obvious name= and docname= parameters with no luck, could anyone help on this topic?  Thanks

Hi Brandon, I checked with the Web Access team, and it looks like there's no way to pass a name to ImportAction.aspx.  The name will always be based on the Windows file name.  As a potential workaround, have you considered just using Workflow to rename the files on import, or would that not work for your situation?

To build On top of brett's response, ould you not just set the defaults to include a tag that marks the file to be renames and then some other information to indicate the name it should use.

Maybe a custom page that uses javascript to rename the file and load up everything else.
