Laserfiche Version 9 Administration

Hello –

We still have a couple of folks on United and they both have asked if they can install Laserfiche 9 with United. I assume that the same license that they have will enable (or not) Workflow Snapshot and e-mail?

Thanks and sorry for the dumb question I could only find the KB articles that says “Team and United customers should use the Avante 9.0.1 installation package.”

They can still use Laserfiche 9 with United. However, they will lose out on some of the Laserfiche 9 functionality such as Business Processes and also the ability to use the Forms module. Workflow will still work, with the exception of some of the newer activities added in Workflow 9. Moving forward, I’d recommend trying to get them switched over to either Avante or Rio since the newer features/updates will become more and more exclusive to Avante and Rio.

Good Afternoon,

Are there any specific steps going to version 9.x or just the ones already outlined in any upgrade from 8.1 to 9.x ?

The upgrade steps are basically the same. You'd need to set up named users following the upgrade if moving from team/united to avante.
