Upgrading a customer from 6.11

Hi.

 

I was wondering if you could tell me the steps for upgrading a customer from 6.11 to 9.0. From what I was able to find on the support site, it looks like I’d need to first do an upgrade to 6.12. Then do an upgrade to 8.0. And from there do an upgrade to 9.0. Does that sound right? Is there any kind of checking I should do in between version upgrades (other than making sure documents and metadata are still accessible), like using VolCon? Any idea of how difficult it is to go from 6.12 to 8?

Our help files document all the steps necessary to upgrade a system from Laserfiche 6 to Laserfiche 9. Since a lot has changed with regards to how the Laserfiche data is stored, the Migration Wizard is necessary to restructure the data into the correct tables. Make sure you go through all those steps, and you should have enough information to perform the complete upgrade.
