Windows XP and Laserfiche 9

One of our customers is looking to upgrade to Laserfiche 9 in June.  They are predominantly running Windows XP on the clients but have a mix of Windows 7 and 8 as well.  From what I understand, on occasion workstations that are running Windows XP and have been upgraded to Laserfiche 9 have had some issues with the scanning interface not fully closing.  I wanted to check on two things:

 

1)     What is the estimated timeline on getting a fix for the above issue?

2)     If we upgrade the server to the lastest version of 9 and leave the XP clients on Laserfiche 8, will there be any issues?

We have resolved the scanning freezing issue as of Laserfiche 9.0.2. However, you can upgrade the Laserfiche server first without disrupting any functionality form the desktop clients on Laserfiche 8. This allows you to test the client in multiple OS to make sure everything is working as it should.
