asked on April 10, 2013 Show version history

I am trying to find out a way to capture the fields of the attached document through Quick Fields. The actual document is going to be scanned version of this pdf. I only am able to see the first page the of document. How do I go about capturing data from rest of the pages in the same document? Thanks.

If you want to capture information from different pages, you will need to use separate OmniPage Zone OCR activities. You can then configure each activity to only process their respective pages. For example, the first Zone OCR activity will read the first page only while the second Zone OCR activity will only read the second page. You can change which page you’re viewing by clicking on the “Samples” drop down and selecting the page of your choice. I’ve attached a screenshot below for additional clarification.

Hi Micki/Miruna,

Can you please let me know if we try to add omni page Zone OCR under last page identification and also limiting the page to certain number . and start scanning the document i am able to extract data and last page identification is not working as expected , as i tried to select last sample pages but the last page identification zone OCR is still adding to all pages, how can we restrict to single page and stop scanning based on limiting the page under last page identification.

Processes under Last Page Identification need to run on all pages because they're purpose is to find the data that would determine that the page currently being processed.

If you are limiting the number of pages in the document, do you also need extra processes to determine what the last page is?

Hi Miruna,

Thanks for replying.

I have single pdf doc which has 15 pages that needs to be scanned.

Last Page Identification - i selected limit documents to 15 pages from screenshot below and added omni page zone OCR to identify page number 15 and would like to stop scanning remaining pages and restrict to only last page # 15.

Yes , we need extra processes to determine last page and stop from scanning when the condition is met.

Please let me know.

What is expected to happen if page 15 does not match the Zone OCR conditions?

It should stop processing as the data has been extracted from the page processing zone OCR's for diff pages within 1- 15 .

And later within the same document class we have set of diff. pdfs that need to be scanned and extract data which has 15 pages.

Please let me know if you need more info.

Kranthi
