Question

Quick fields text identification

asked on April 9, 2013 Show version history

My client is asking if LF Quick Fields can identify the text font size in addition to the text itself. That may help them in the identification process.  The question also extends to italics, underlining and bold face, as possible markers of a heading.  This might be combined with zonal search.  For example, find characters

This level of text identification is not possible, since there are a large number of factors that would interfere with it. For example, a slightly skewed page might cause a normal font to be read as italic, and changes in document DPI would result in different font sizes, further interfering with accurate identification. In other words, you may want to figure out some other means of identifying those documents.
