I received this question below from a customer of mine, and I am wondering what demo that she may have possibly seen that showcases this functionality? Is there some way to start a business process outside of the Laserfiche client or Web Access?

 

"I attended the Laserfiche conference in January and learned of business process that would enable a document to be automatically stored into Laserfiche once it was viewed and approved."

As far as I can see there are a couple possible scenarios your customer might be referring to:

 

  1.       You can certainly automatically store documents into Laserfiche, using Import Agent, and once stored those documents can easily kick off a business process in Workflow.
  2.       From within a Forms business process, you can configure an approval process that will store a TIFF/PDF copy of a form submission into Laserfiche once the approval is made.
