Our organization has been negatively impacted by these recent changes:
- Team members can no longer reassign a team task just because they are assigned to it or claimed it. To reassign a team task, users need the team's reassign right, which the Manager and Admin team roles currently include, or process-level update or reassign permissions. Administrators can still reassign team tasks. Team members without any of these can still release the task. (722343)
- Users who can reassign a team task only through the team's reassign right can reassign the task only to members of that team. Users with process-level update or reassign permissions, and administrators, can still reassign team tasks to anyone. (722343)
Our organization uses tasks to organize and facilitate workload. An application is imported, a task is generated which includes an iframe of the imported document, and staff can (could) route the task to whichever other unit needed to review said document.
With the recent changes, users can no longer reassign tasks. Giving users the Team Manager role allows them to reassign, but not to other teams. Previously, users could reassign a task to any other team in the system and now they cannot.

After Changes:
The broader problem here is this: Our department (State of California) has invested heavily into this functionality and have been left scrambling to try and find workarounds to these changes. We were not made aware that core functionality would be changing. Our 'Solution Provider' (MCCi) was not aware of any changes. This is an issue that is going to cost our department tens of thousands of dollars in labor to remedy.
