We have a Forms lookup that populates Time fields within a table. The lookup completes successfully and the time values are displayed in the UI, but the values do not appear to be available to other fields containing calculations. Testing the same field with the calculation using a Number field (instead of the Time fields) works on load right away. The Time fields do not.
Because of this, calculations that depend on the lookup-populated time fields do not execute correctly.
The exact same records work correctly after either:
- Clicking into the time field and blurring out of it, or
- Saving the form as a draft and reopening it, or
- Submitting the form and reopening it.
At that point, the time field values are available and the calculations evaluate correctly.
We had developed a workaround using JS to get the values then set the values in a loop but that causes the table to fill in the values one at a time where each row's error messages appear and disappear as values are resolved causing a very weird (and bad) user experience.
Any insight on how to resolve this would be helpful. Is this a known bug? Any workarounds that don't involve getValues and then setValues in a loop?
Thank you.
