Question

Web Service Request Limit Reached: How Can We Monitor Usage?

asked on October 7

Hello,

It looks like we may have run out of web service requests for the day. Is there a way to meter or monitor our usage? More specifically, is there an easy way to see where most of our web service requests are coming from or what is consuming them?

Hi, this is happening again today. Yesterday was at 4:00 PM, today at 2:00 PM. Any updates?

We have never ran into this error before.

Yes, the account has exceeded the 5000 requests per day on multiple days. The limit has been raised at this time. A breakdown of the rules usage has been provided to your solution provider. Please send any further questions through them so we can be more detailed in our responses (than we can be here, on a public site).

Any response for the original posters inquiry regarding metering or monitoring web request usage?

Is the only way to receive a breakdown of the rules usage to request this via Laserfiche support ticket? Is there anything on the roadmap that will display usage similar to how API and AI unit usage is available?  Perhaps there is an undocumented endpoint where this consumption data is available that you could share?

Unfortunately, at this time, yes. Adding more visibility is on the roadmap, but I don;t have a release date yet.
