Laserfiche Cloud: Keep CSS styles when saving to repository

asked on October 2

Hi,

I'm having some trouble keeping the format on forms when they're saving. I have a form that has a table with 10+ columns. The text look fine when filling it out the form. Once it saves, the columns' text overlaps.

Does anyone have insight as to how get it to look a bit better?

The width I am using is 1350 px. Is there a limit?
I tried following these steps.

.Field input,.Field span,.Field div {text-align:center;}

Does this work for the Cloud? I couldn't get it to work.
Here's what I tried:

.Field.columns label {
font-size: 10px !important;
}

.columns is the class I have given the columns inside the table.

Also, is this the only setting I need to have set?

Any help would be appreciated! smiley

Try adding a space between .Field and .columns ...

.Field .columns label {
   font-size: 10px !important;
}

Without the space, the CSS is requiring the html element to have both classes.

Though, you might be better off being even more specific with the columns:

.columns label {
  font-size: 10px !important;
  overflow-wrap: break-word;
  word-break: break-word;
  white-space: normal;
  line-height: 1.15;
}

Hi Edwin, thanks for the the reply. What ended up working was shortening the labels. Are there any other tips or tricks to have forms save more like what the end users see? I did read Save To Repository is a service process that has limitations, but are there any improvements coming? For example, compressing a submitted form to a fit to page option? Sometimes these forms give the impression that they're saving as one page but end up using one page and a half and it looks bad.

Also, for our case, we get inspected by the FDA and if they're not readable, they can reject it.
