I published a Data Query rule and it only published to Workflow.
It is not in the forms list

There is no publish button or checkbox to publish it for use in forms as well.

Direct DB Connections lookups from a SQL DB is supported in Forms, but the Remote Worker lookups are not. Too much latency with the Remote Workers. Typically the Remote Worker Lookups are only used within Workflow where time is not an issue.
Aha! They both show up as a Data Query so it was hard to know the difference. Remote worker must be on a short interval checking for requests compared with direct lookups. Thanks!
Just to clarify, you can use all types of data query rules in business processes through Rule Service Task actions. However, if you are trying to use rules to populate field data as part of filling out a form when a user is present, rules that run through the remote agent are not available due to remote agent's asynchronous, queue-based nature.
That is correct, this is for Lookup Rules but we have always been able to run all Data Query rules in the Business Process diagram.
The confusing part is that the rule does not say if it is direct or agent based anywhere, it is hidden away in the integration config.
