Hi everyone,
We’re currently reviewing our systems for British Columbia’s move to year-round Pacific time (UTC−7) beginning November 1, 2026.
Does anyone know whether Laserfiche 11 and its various components (Laserfiche Server, Forms, Workflow, Directory Server, etc.) rely on the host operating system for time zone/DST handling, or whether any of the components maintain their own time zone or DST configuration?
Also, are there any known Laserfiche updates, configuration changes, or other actions required to accommodate the B.C. time zone change?
Thanks in advance for any information or guidance.

Unfortunately the libraries we use for datetime processing are not aware of new time zone changes, so Laserfiche software will need patching. We are currently working on them, but v12 will take priority.
Thank you for your response. Just curious, will the patch address all of the various Laserfiche components (Laserfiche Server, Forms, Workflow, Directory Server, etc.), or will there be separate patches for the individual components?
I see that Forms 11 has its own time zone setting under Forms Configuration, but I haven't been able to identify an equivalent setting for components such as Laserfiche Server or Workflow, so any guidance on where time zone configuration is managed across the various components would be appreciated.
We do have an upgrade to Laserfiche 12 on our roadmap, so I may need to shuffle around some priorities depending on the availability of the patches for v11.
I don't have all the details yet, but we will likely patch all components.
Time zone processing is a combination of Windows settings, browser settings (where applicable) and our own libraries. So for example, Forms has its own settings, Workflow infers it from Windows and the Laserfiche Server uses a combination of Windows settings and our own libraries. However, where they interact with the repository, Forms and Workflow use the same library the Laserfiche Server uses.
Hi, will the v11 patches be released before Nov. 1? If not, would setting our server timezone to Yukon time work as a workaround until the v11 patches are released?
They will not.
I think you will have to set both the server and clients to Yukon time so they'd match.
Microsoft has released patches for Windows and guidance for the cases where you can't apply the patches by Nov 1. The same time zone settings will also apply for machines running Laserfiche while waiting for patches.
