Updating dynamic task names

I have a process where one step could be "waiting for invoice". So, I have a hidden status field and the task name includes that status.

The fun part is that the invoice could just be uploaded to the form, no biggie. Or it could be uploaded outside of that task. I can set up a Workflow to wait for an entry change (for example) to identify when the invoice has been uploaded and the update that hidden status field.

However, when Workflow updates the field, the task name doesn't change. If I manually edit the variable from the Monitoring area, the task name updates right away, but not from Workflow. How can I get this to work?

The first thing I thought of was setting the process diagram to be on a loop that checks via explicitc gateway for the variable change. If not, go to the Workflow step to go check and update process variable if appropriate. Then an exclusive gateway to see if the variable exists. If not, send it to a timer for x days/hours to then try the whole process over again. These loops may create a situation where the task name updates because the flow actually moves from one step to another. The leaving of one step and starting another may be what it needs to update the variable ie. task name.

Just a completely untested thought since I can't reproduce your issue :)
