Can we access the transcript of an audio document from a workflow?

The Transcript pane of a document is separate from the Text pane a document may have, so the Retrieve Document Text action just throws an error that the source document contained no pages, which makes sense as it is an .mp3 file.

Is there a way that we can retrieve the already generated text transcript from a document in the repository from Workflow in Cloud?

Not at this time. What would you have Workflow do with the transcript?

The use case is to use Workflow to extract the text from an mp3 file, then use Laserfiche's AI to generate a formatted meeting minutes document out of the transcript, in a way that happens automatically without needing any human interaction.

This is now possible by using just released routes for the Repository API (v2). We have added new routes for interacting with Alternate Electronic documents and there is also a new part option in the Export route for "AlternateEdoc". I've tested this scenario and was able to download the transcript from a video file in the repository. See the changelog for more details on the updates and let me know if you have any questions.
