Users are experiencing an error after searching for a folder, when dragging and dropping a pdf to the folder.  When trying to import, they receive [access denied.(9013)] An error occurred on metadata save.

There is no metadata attached to the document they are importing (no fields/templates assigned) and the error does not occur if they navigate to the folder to drag and drop into rather than searching. 

Any ideas on what is happening here and how to resolve it?
