Hi Chris,

What is your Forms version?

Seems like the target field is in a collection or table, and your condition field (Expense Amount) comes from another collection or table? I tested on 12.0.2603.30218, the field rule keeps when clicking done, save, reload. So this could be a bug that's already fixed, could you test it out? You can file a support ticket (better with a video how you reproduce) if you find it not working still on 12.0.2603.30218.

Laserfiche Forms Professional Version 12.0.2603.30215
Looks like it's not the most current version. That is something to investigate on our side.

Sorry for the confusion in the pics. I can reproduce it when the field rule affects a collection field and the condition is from the same collection. That is where I saw it first. I didn't know that any of that could possibly matter in a field rule.

I solved my problem another way but wanted to report this since it made zero sense. I didn't know there were rules getting applied to the class field in field rules.

I have attached the GIF for you and any others to witness.

Thanks. I solved my problem with a workaround so no longer urgent on my end. I have another support ticket to submit for v12 ahead of this one. Maybe in September when I get a break in my projects.

CSS class names cannot contain certain characters, In standard CSS, a class name such as "Hello" is valid, but "Answers!" contains an exclamation point (!), which is not a valid CSS class name unless escaped. Try using "Answers" and see if that allows you to save it properly.

Correct. Those are an example only. Can you reproduce this on your end with any correct/legal class name? Or do I need to submit yet another support ticket?

Reminder from the pic above: this is on a time field specifically.

I can reproduce this on command.

Thanks

Hi Chris,  thanks for clarifying that any entry into that field causes the issue and fails to save values, not just entries with invalid characters like the "!"  in the future please use valid examples as to not throw off the investigation. I ran a quick test on my lab using Laserfiche Forms Professional Version 12.0.2603.30218 and was able to save, exit, go back and view the values i entered, i could not reproduce this, so for your this issue i would open a support ticket include the exact version and build of forms, a screenshot of the variable properties you are using in the field and include full details of the issue. Also include the forms server logs.

great. I did not read that you used a time field to test with. Did you? Just to confirm please.

This appears to be working correctly today when it was not yesterday. No computer restart. No browser update. Not sure what the deal is. Leaving this here in case anyone else sees it.
