Questions about Okta SSO

asked on July 21

Hi All,

We are currently trying to implement SSO using Okta for our Laserfiche cloud accounts and I just have a few questions/issues to ask:

  1. Is there a way to set the correct Laserfiche landing page in Okta?
The help documentation advises to use the account ID as the Default Relay State in Okta but when this is in place, clicking the tile in Okta will take us to the Account Administration page instead of the normal Laserfiche hompage. I have read somewhere about using https://app.laserfiche.com/home as the Default Relay State in Okta but this does not work as well as it gives us an error message.

  2. When the Okta account is linked to our Laserfiche cloud account and once a user's account has been enabled for SSO, is there a way to untick/disable it again?
I have noticed if I try to disable it, it gives me a warning message that says "Required field is invalid or empty!" which I think is referring to the Federated ID field and it does not allow me to save the changes. I'm not sure if this is a bug as Federated ID field should not be required when Enabled for SSO option is unticked.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

For your first question about configuration, "Is there a way to set the correct Laserfiche landing page in Okta?"  Please open a support case for this so the presales team can respond.

for your second question, Users should be able to have SSO disabled after it has been enabled. If unchecking "Enable Single Sign-On" still requires a Federated ID and prevents saving, that is likely an issue that needs investigation so please open a support ticket for it.

Thanks Elizabeth.

Sorry, I have not been able to find the support page on Laserfiche website to open a support ticket, not sure if I'm missing something.

Are you able to provide me the link or information please?

You have to go through your solution provider.

Hi. Unchecking "Enable Single Sign-On" should work, if you also specify a matching strong password in the password section. This was highlighted internally and our teams will work on updating the validation feedback to point to required password fields after unchecking Enable Single Sign-On.

Thanks. Maybe a coincidence but I had also just got the same advice from Laserfiche Support through our Solution Provider.
