In sandboxed forms, there is currently no supported way to respond to keyboard events such as Enter, Escape, or Arrow keys without relying on DOM manipulation.

One use case is implementing a pseudo search experience for very large datasets. While Laserfiche lookups work well when all records can be loaded into a dropdown, some of our datasets are too large for that approach. Instead, users enter a search term to retrieve a filtered set of results. Today, we rely on the field's onBlur event to trigger the search, but allowing the Enter key would provide a more intuitive experience by letting users execute the query immediately without leaving the field.

Providing keyboard event support through the LFForm API would enable this and similar scenarios while remaining fully compatible with the supported sandbox model.
