Hi Laserfiche Team,
We would like to submit a feature request for a Laserfiche Forms API that exposes task-level data generated throughout Forms processes.
While Laserfiche Forms provides reporting capabilities, our organization has operational monitoring and reporting requirements that extend beyond the current built-in functionality. We also recognize that many of these requirements are unique to our environment and may not be applicable to every Laserfiche customer. Rather than requesting additional reporting features, we believe providing API access to the underlying task data would allow organizations like ours to build monitoring and analytics solutions that best fit their business needs.
We are interested in accessing data such as:
-
Tasks generated by a Forms process
-
Task identifiers
-
Current status (Pending, Completed, Cancelled, etc.)
-
Assigned user, group, or role
-
Assignment date and time
-
Due date
-
Completion date and time
-
Process instance or submission identifier
-
Process name and activity/step name
-
Task history or routing information
-
Any additional task metadata that would help correlate tasks to Forms submissions
-
etc etc
Our goal is to build custom operational dashboards and monitoring capabilities on top of this data. Some examples include:
-
Real-time dashboards showing all active tasks across processes
-
Workload reporting by user, team, or department
-
SLA monitoring and overdue task alerts
-
Process bottleneck analysis
-
Historical reporting and trend analysis
-
Integration with business intelligence tools such as Power BI
-
Custom notifications and escalations based on business-specific rules
Ideally, the API would support querying tasks across all Forms processes, with filtering by process, status, assignee, date range, and process instance. This would enable customers to develop reporting and monitoring solutions tailored to their own operational requirements without requiring additional product-specific reporting enhancements.
Please let us know if similar functionality already exists, is available through an undocumented endpoint, is planned for a future release, or could be considered as a product enhancement request.
