Question

Fields get cut off when storing into Laserfiche

asked on July 13

I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue. We have a lot of forms processes and it seems like when the form gets stores into laserfiche "sometimes" fields are cutoff, other times not. I have moved most of the processes to the Modern Designer and made some adjustments but was wondering if there is another way to prevent information getting cut off.

An example is signature. This one is at the bottom of the page, we actually change the form that is stored to not include some veribage, however as you can see the signature is cut off, but I look at the one right before this one and it is not cutoff. I compared the two and the same amount of information was entered on both (so one did not have numerous entries vs another that would push the signature down the page, if that makes sense).

Hi Suzanne,

What is your Forms version? Your issue is very similar to an existing bug I ever met and has been fixed in Forms 12, would you like to test it out on Forms 12? If the issue persists, you can file a support ticket so we can have a deep look.

Hello -

  We are on Forms 11.0.2311.50564, however are in the works to move to 12. So if the fix is in 12 we can wait as the upgrade should be happening in the next few weeks.  Thank you very much!

Yes, the same bug was reported on 11.0.2311.50564, and fixed in Forms 12. You can try with the workaround below to see if it helps

1. Find Forms installed file C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Laserfiche Forms\Forms\Views\ModernForm\ModernFormRenderer.cshtml, backup the file first

2. Open the file and replace line 45 - 48 with the following:

.line > .pdc, .fl-component {

height: fit-content;

}

* {

overflow: visible !important;

}

Refresh and retry. If not working, it may not be this bug, and a support ticket is preferred.
