Workflow To Merge Documents As They Are Scanned Based On A Template Field Value

Hello Everyone,

Please can someone help with this.

I want documents that are being scanned or imported to be merged using workflow. When multiple documents that  is actually a single document is being scanned, i want them merged as one automatically using workflow.

I had the idea of creating a DocumentMerge field in a template so that if that field value is Yes, then the multiple documents being scanned or imported will be merged.

Manually doing this is a no go area because it is so cumbersome and we have so many backlogs to cover.

Can someone please help on how to achieve this with a step by step guide.

How do you identify which document to merge it into if the field value for DocumentMerge is "Yes"?

Hello Miruna,

Part of the Metadata is a Case File Number which is unique and which ties several documents together. Now that you asked this question, I suppose  I can use this to identify the document to merge this into.. My challenge however is how to even create the workflow to achieve it.

Please help will be apprecited.
