Cloud - Incremental Migration Tool

Morning All,

 

It was mentioned at empower about the possibility of an incremental migration tool between self-hosted and cloud migrations. Is there any update on this? I.e. what it will feature and an expected release date?

2027 H1: A new method of performing background migration on the repository that allows users to keep using the self-hosted repository while data is being ported to cloud, significantly reducing downtime. We expect to have an initial version of this ready by Empower.

For 2026 H2, we have plans to update to existing tools to improve usability, performance, and documentation. For partial migration, this includes improvements to Import Agent, such as better performance for LST files and improved troubleshooting e.g., if metadata migration fails.

There are additional tools and changes still being discussed.

Thanks Brianna, we're all desperate to get this over the line and it's now holding up several migrations to cloud for our larger customers. Anything that can be done to expedite things would be much appreciated!
