Hello everyone. I have a weird situations I could use some help on.
We have a large AP system that relies on Email archive to bring invoices into LF. Every once in a while, the document fails to import. I have narrowed that issue down to retrieving text from the PDF and there being some issues with that document. I can workaround that. Now I'm consistently getting this issue with a specific vendors invoice and when I send these same invoices to my dev system that is running the same version of email archive 12.0.2603.833, it works. All the same setting, the only difference is that the profile is configured to my mailbox and not a shared mailbox like my production system. I'm stumped on why it would work on my dev system and not my production system. For more context, my dev system is running on a different machine from my prod system so I'm wondering what difference could there be between the 2 system that would allow the PDF to be imported properly on dev and not on the other.
Any idea?

Email Archive not importing a document

Hi Lucas,
Is there any error recorded in the log file under the folder C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\EmailArchiveService?
Besides, what kind and which version of email server do you use in your dev system and production system?
no errors. and the document doesn't move to the error folder. It moves to the processed folder so there is no indication that there is an issue.
We are using the Microsoft 365 for an email server.
Hi Lucas,
As there are not many details, please prepare sample profile and email, and contact our support to create a support ticket for further investigation.

What I was hoping for was some help trouble shooting. I already have a support case and I'm getting told that the retrieve text feature will cause this. But I need retrieve text on because my workflow pulls the text from the document and routes it to different locations, AND my testing profile that is hooked up to me dev environment works with retrieve text on so I can't even recreate it myself. IT only happens with my production environment that uses shared mailbox. I'm trying to see if there is anything I could check at the OS level to find a difference on why it works one 1 system and not the other.
If, for testing, you configure the working dev system for the shared mailbox used by the production environment, do you still have the issue?
@████████well that was interesting.
If I have my dev servers email archive program connect to the same mailbox and send the same problem invoice through. It works.
The only difference between the dev system and the prod system is amount of profiles. I have about 70 profiles in prod and only 2 on dev.
The profile all work in prod, but this one vendors invoice always fail. why would it work in prod and not dev?
