Question

Do any Laserfiche applications have RC4 cipher hard coded?

asked on May 26

I think I know the answer to this, but I want to make sure I get an official answer. Do any of the Laserfiche applications have RC4 ciphering hard coded in them? This is preparation of Microsoft deprecating RC4 encryption in Kerberos.

Not for Kerberos. RC4 has been considered weak for ages, so we've removed it a while back (though in places like Kerberos or TLS, it's been up to the OS and transparent to the apps). The only place where it is still used is in passwords for password-protected PDFs because that is all the PDF standard supports.
