I tried to recently make an AI Prompt to extract Driver's License info so a form can auto-populate with an uploaded DL. Here are some prompts I tried:
%(Name: driversLicense; Type: File)
Get the first name, middle initial, last name, driver's license number, state, and expiration date from the file.
Format your response in JSON with the found values like so:
{
FirstName: foundFirstName,
MI: foundMiddleInitial,
LastName: foundLastName,
DLNum: foundDriversLicenseNumber,
State: foundState,
Expires: foundExpirationDate
}
%(Name: driversLicense; Type: File) Get the first name, middle initial, last name, driver's license number, state, and expiration date from the file.
%(Name: driversLicense; Type: File) Get the %(Name: fieldName; Type: Text) from the file.
Here's an example response I got, they come out very similar: "This image is a sample of a California driver license. It contains typical features such as the California bear logo, the holder's photo, and details like name, address, date of birth, license number, and expiration date. The data shown is likely fictitious and used for illustrative purposes."
Basically it refuses to extract info from a DL, one time even giving me a response saying it's not allowed to get PII from a file as well. Is this intentional? It seems like a major use of Laserfiche AI is to get PII off of documents, especially since there's a ton of public sector work done with it and Laserfiche AI is tuned to not save/sell any information.
