Question

Isolated user display issues after upgrading to LF12

asked on April 28

Hello,

We recently upgraded to Laserfiche 12 and we have a user (and only this user) who is having odd display issues when using the Web Client. While in a document, the document display pane shows nothing for them and the metadata pane looks horrendously mis-formatted. Oddly enough, only this user is having this particular issue - every other user has no issues when viewing the same entries.

We've tried clearing out the browser cache and resetting the attributes for their user account, but no luck. I'd greatly appreciate any assistance with this issue. Thank you!

Attached are comparison screenshots of the misformatted display the user sees and the correct display for all others.

Hi Mitchell,

I have seen the giant arrows and overall weird appearance in the metadata pane before on Windows 7 PCs using outdated web browsers. Any chance your user has an older OS version or an outdated browser?

Hi everyone, thank you for the replies! Oddly enough, the user is able to view entries properly when using Edge (Chrome is their usual default). I'll give these other methods a try and see what turns up. Thanks again!

Does this happen in other browsers? Assuming the user is on Windows, have you tried maybe clearing the browser settings in the user's AppData folder? That worked for us on a different issue that only happened on one machine.

Please try to update the browser to the latest version. We had received similar issue on lower version of Chrome.

And if chrome is updated already, say 130+, can you share any the error in Chrome dev console?

Hello,

Updating the user's Chrome browser seems to have fixed the issue. Thank you for all the help!
