Question

Email confirmation box ( Re-Type Email ) in Forms becomes empty at next task

asked on April 21

I am sure I am missing something.

I have added an email field to a form (Forms Professional Version 12.0.2509.20411).  Selected the "Show second field for email confirmation" box.  The field is required.

Email verification works perfectly at forms submittal.

When the form is opened for the next task to be completed, the "Retype E-mail" box is empty.  All other fields (including the email field itself - not the retype field) have been disabled so they are read only to the person assigned the next task.  They remain populated and read only.  The "Retype Email" field is also read only, but is blank.

The email needs to be re-entered into the "Retype E-mail" field in order to be able to submit the form.

Any help would be great.

Thanks!

Or add a single line field and use the Advanced Calc to pull the value into that field and use show/hide based on steps.

I swear I looked for it!  Thanks for your help.   Sounds like I will be creating a second form without the email verification.

I wouldn't recommend the hassle of managing two forms for this one feature. You could create two email fields and use field rules to validate the second email matches the value of the first email yourself to fix the issue
