Question

Linking from Workflow History to Web Client

asked on April 17

I've noticed that when I am viewing the history of run within Workflow, specifically when viewing the the list of entries the workflow touched, trying to open those entries does so in the Windows Client.

Is there any way to configure it to use the Web Client instead?

I've been trying to find a setting or option but haven't had any luck locating it.

Hi Matthew,

The feature has been released in Workflow 2026H1 (12.0.2605.385).  Refer to Web Client Node to configure Web Client URL, and then can view entry in Web Client or copy link in Web Client from the Entries tab in its instance details.

Fantastic!  I'm hoping to get the upgrade installed in a few weeks.

Too bad.

Could that be enhanced?

We're looking into it and may be able to add it in. Glad to see Web Client usage!

Yeah, I’m trying to get to the point I never need to use the Windows Client.  I’m working on encouraging (enforcing) most of our staff to change.  But there are less common things like this that keep me from being 100% in the Web Client myself.

Hi Matthew,

The feature has been released in Workflow 2026H1 (12.0.2605.385).  Refer to https://doc.laserfiche.com/laserfiche.documentation/12/userguide/en-us/content/process-web-client-node.htm to configure Web Client URL, and then can view entry in Web Client.
