Question

invalid css values in style laserfiche forms

asked on April 17

We've been having some problems occasional CSS differences when the form is being passed thought our Application Delivery Controller in our externalized implementation.  We've seen this in both LF Forms 11 Update 5 and version 12.  This has caused issues on our external server like the td Field Name not showing on Mobile devices and dropdowns not rendering values.  The CSS seems to work fine internally.  We've spent hours troubleshooting, looking for blocks and errors, and the only thing I've stumbled upon are some invalid values in the styles.

Not sure if this is the fix for my particular situation, but it would be really great if you would fix the invalid values so I can eliminate this as a variable, this is just two, there are a few more of them.  If anyone has suggestions on settings to help with our  Application Delivery Controller's CSS sensitivity, that would also be appreciated.

Maybe use the !important to enforce this? if you would like it to always be that style

Is the issue in your CSS our Laserfiche CSS? Does the form work fine without your CSS?

Would it be possible to have a copy of your CSS to test with?

There's no custom CSS on my test form currently.  All forms were built using a blank process with Modern Forms Designer. All forms misbehave when they are being managed with our Web Application and API Protection or the externalized url is used on our network, although these extremely minor invalid CSS values are always present in the html head of the form. We do have a couple themes we've been using since LF Forms 11 Update 2. I don't think they'd be the issue, but I guess I could rebuild the form again to eliminate that line of thinking.

The issue currently cannot be replicated externally at this time.  I can individually provide the test form xml if preferred or the url to the the form, or both.  We've been lucky with the bots so far, so I don't want to advertise, lol.
