Question

Question

Email Department based off Check box Selection

asked on April 16

I have a pretty simple question but for the life of me i cant figure out the answer.

I have a form that needs to Go to our Accounting department but it will also need to go to our Collections department if a specific check box is checked off.

The form will always go to accounting no matter what check box is checked, but it  will only go to collections if the active loan check box is checked.

I tried doing an inclusive and exclusive gateway, But it was not working the way i hoped maybe because i was doing it incorrectly.

Any InSite on how to get this going would be super helpful.

Thanks

Chris

Do you have the Exclusive Gateway tied to the appropriate processes?  and then a condition set that looks something like this:  /dataset/<Variable Name>="<desired value>" ?  The <Variable Name> is the name of the variable for your checkbox and the <desired value> is the value for the checkbox.

I believe you want a Parallel Gateway leading to Accounting (runs every time) and also leading to an Inclusive Gateway (runs dependent on checkbox).  I'll include a quick mockup below:

No need for the Parallel, just need the Inclusive Gateway, the outflows will follow all of the paths in which the Condition is True, so it can do either 1 or both based on that evaluation. the third Outflow for Accounting, just needs to be set as Default so it always follows it.
