Question

Hide specific items in the Details tab

asked on March 26

Hi,

Is there a way to hide specific line items within the Details tab or hide the Details tab completely?

Or disable the various links?

Thanks

James

Go to the More tab, and then click on Configure Tabs options, and then drag from the right to the left column the Tabs do you don't want to see, and then Save. this is the easy way to do it.

Hi,

Is there a way to hide it for Everyone? And prevent users from bringing it back?

I would like to remove the features on there for Security purposes.

Thank you,

James

Try do this, but will all precautions.

First, log in using an administrator account and configure the tabs exactly the way you want them to appear. Once that is done, go to Administration > Users > [admin user] > Attributes and export the attributes related to the Web Client / document viewer layout (this is the only attributes you need).

After that, import those same attributes into Everyone so they become the default for all users.

If you want to make sure users cannot change those settings individually, you can also apply Settings Restrictions to Everyone for that specific category.

Personally I never do this before, this is something I recommend do very carfully.

Thank you very much! It Worked!

Setting Restrictions to Everyone did not disable the 'More' > 'Configure Tabs'  drop-down. Any ideas on how to get that to work?
