Question

Multiple Coversheets in Quickfields Document Class session.

asked on March 26 • Show version history

It is possible to have multiple cover sheets in a quick field session to read barcodes.

My example is that I wanted one sheet with just 1 barcode containing the employee number, and the other cover sheets would have the document break barcode and record type.

1 barcode Sheet = Employee ID

2 barcode Sheet = Document Break, Doc Type

This would allow me to reuse the 2nd barcode for other employees and just print 1 cover sheet per employee ID.

Should be able to. Sheet 1 can be used as the separator sheet with First Page Identification if there's a way to ensure the barcode value is obvious (not confused with what's on other pages). You should be able to use that value for a metadata field or whatever you want to do with it.

Then, under Page Processing, set up another barcode process to operate on Page 2 to read those other barcodes.
