Question

What would cause this LFF9320-FormsValidationAggregateException error?

asked on March 25

I have a form with a good number of fields on it with various field rules that show and hide fields. I am running into a problem when testing this form where when I submit it at a user task I receive the below error:

Laserfiche Forms has encountered a problem.

Errors encountered during forms submission:
Field Name: GL Major-Sub Only, Position: 142, Error: This value is required. [LFF9300-ValueRequired] [LFF9312-ErrorOccuredDuringFormsValidation]
Field Name: GL Site Only, Position: 140, Error: This value is required. [LFF9300-ValueRequired] [LFF9312-ErrorOccuredDuringFormsValidation]
Field Name: GL BE Only, Position: 141, Error: This value is required. [LFF9300-ValueRequired] [LFF9312-ErrorOccuredDuringFormsValidation]
[LFF9320-FormsValidationAggregateException]

The field options I have selected on the form hide the fields mentioned in the error message, so I am unsure why it thinks they are required values. There are other fields hidden using the same Field Rule. The only thing that is different in the field rule is that the other fields are set to "Ignore data when hidden" while these 3 fields are set to "Save data when hidden". Would that cause the validation error? If yes, is there a workaround?

Just figured it out. I created another field rule that validated the 3 fields as being required using the same conditions that are used to show them.
