Question

Annotation Permissions

asked on March 24

Hi Everybody,

I think I am missing something when it comes to giving permissions for someone to annotate files inside of the Laserfiche Windows Client and Web Client. I have assigned what I thought were the needed permissions and rights inside of the Laserfiche Admin Console along with giving the needed Access Rights inside of the Windows Client and Web Client with no success. Does anyone else have a thought of what I am missing? Attached are the current permissions and access rights.

Hi Tyler-

At first glance, this all looks good. I see that those were set on a group. Are you sure the user is a member of that group? Or if so, were they already logged into Laserfiche when you added them to the group? Group membership is determined on login so changes in groups don't get reflected until the next time they log in. And when using the Desktop Client, they can remain logged in for a long time if they don't log out or close the client.

I guess, rather than posing it as a question, I'll recommend ensuring the user logs out and back in to see if that fixes it.

Hi Pieter,

Yes, I can confirm the user is part of the group. I will try forcing a log out of the user and having them log back in.

Thank you for your assistance.
