Both Laserfiche and SQL provide performance counters that can be viewed from within the Windows Performance Monitoring console. I don't know if the specific counters you are looking for are present or if they provide as granular a level as you desire but that is where I would start. The v11 documentation has more detail regarding setup than the v12.

Thanks Shawn, this is helpful and something I am already aware of.

But I'm looking more from a Laserfiche logging perspective rather than at the OS level. We're not seeing any resource spikes (CPU/RAM or disk ops) so this is something at the application layer which is causing the slowness in our case.

Unfortunately other than the limited LFFTS counters LF exposes, I think LFFTS is a relative black box for other statistics and performance telemetry. On the SQL side you are likely looking at utilizing SQL profiling and reviewing your SQL query plans. This will only really show you half the picture but it may at least expose some correctable elements.

And yes bang on the money, that's exactly the situation we're in.

One other thought I had is you can obviously enable the debug logs, but what it writes out only really means something to Laserfiche dev.

So yeah......still no further forward on this.
