I have a Workflow process in cloud that searches for all folders that have a date field assigned other than the current date.

While it returns all folders where the date value of that field is different than current date, it does not return folders where the date field is not assigned at all.  I created a separate search to look for where that date field is empty, however that also did not return the folders where the date field was never assigned.

This only seems to be an issue when the field is not part of a template.  Is there a different way in Workflow to find folders that do not have a specific field assigned when that field is not part of a template?
