This month’s release introduces powerful enhancements to Smart Chat, custom reports, and the Operational Dashboard - giving you more control, greater visibility, and faster access to the insights you need. 

 

🟠#1 - Smart Chat Enhancements: More Control, More Capacity, Faster Responses 

Smart Chat continues to evolve with new controls, expanded query limits, and performance improvements designed to make finding answers easier and more efficient: 

â—¾Fine-tune query sources with new toggles: Two new toggles give you more granular control over which sources Smart Chat uses when generating responses.

Now, with just a single click, you can:

  • Toggle folder querying on/off  — Control whether Smart Chat includes documents within  folders and subfolders. 

  • Toggle educational resource querying on/off  — Control whether Smart Chat can query Laserfiche educational resources (such as product documentation and training materials) when answering questions about content your repository. 

These updates make it easy to fine-tune Smart Chat’s query sources – giving you more options, more control, and more focused responses, free of noise from unwanted sources. 

â—¾Ask questions about more documents: Smart Chat now supports queries across up to 1,000 repository entries at once - a 10x increase from the previous 100-entry limit.  

Plus, if more than 1,000 entries are selected, Smart Chat will still proceed with generating a response using the first 1,000 and indicate this in the reply, delivering a smoother, uninterrupted experience. 

â—¾Get answers faster: Behind-the-scenes performance improvements reduce pre-processing time, allowing Smart Chat to deliver responses more quickly. 

 

🟠#2 - Scheduled Custom Reports

Custom reports now support scheduling, making it easier to automatically capture and distribute business process insights. With the new scheduling capability, you can automatically generate reports on a recurring schedule, and choose to share them via email or save them directly to your repository. 

With this update, teams no longer need to manually export reports to stay informed. Insights from your business processes are captured and shared consistently, making it easier to monitor performance, track trends, and support data-driven decisions over time.

🟠#3 - Operational Dashboard Enhancements

The Operational Dashboard has been redesigned to improve usability, visibility, and navigation. 

  • Now located in the Reports tab: The Operational Dashboard has been moved to a new Reports tab, making it easier to find and access alongside your other process and repository data. 

  • No version selection required: The process version filter has been removed. By default, the dashboard now displays all active processes and tasks, and you can filter by project, process, team, or user - consistent with other Laserfiche reporting tools. 

  • State persistence: Configured dashboard views now persist when you return to the page. You can also bookmark or share specific dashboard configurations, making collaboration easier and reducing repetitive setup. 

  • Enhanced filtering clarity: Improvements include clear indicators of applied filters and additional filtering options (user, team, project).
