Get a date from a date time in Workflow

Why doesn't this format work for extracting just the date? If I take out the parentheses it works, but Date Time field variables in Forms include this and I need to clean it up for inserting in a SQL database

Because it's a string not a date due to having the timezone offset included. If you use "2/20/2026 12:00:00 AM", it will format as expected.
