Cloud Insert Rules - How do you know which string is not the correct format for workflows with many input variables?

When workflow throws the error for an Insert Rule activity, "Input string was not in a correct format" how do I know which string it is?

Same as in this other thread. It's likely a date or number field.

I still don't know how to know which param it is though. In this case it turned out to be from inserting a number into a integer param but finding it was difficult as it does not say what type the token is anywhere on the activity. We have to track each token back to where it was generated in the workflow until we find the one that looks to be wrong.
