Question

Chrome Auto Populating

asked on February 17

I have an end user who is testing out a form that I built.  The form has 3 fields to take email addresses.  She is entering an email address in one field by selecting the "suggestion" given by Chrome.  When she does that, the other email address fields populate with the same email address.

Is there something I can modify in LF Forms to prevent the other fields from populating by Chrome?

It's not exactly a big deal to tell users they have to enter data manually, but I also want to make the form as user friendly as possible.

Hi,

I noticed this recently in Laserfiche Cloud:

Have you tried disabling it for one?

Unfortunately, I don't have those Advanced options because the field is E-mail as opposed to Single Line.

If you are on Laserfiche Cloud email also supports these options.

If you are on self-hosted you might be on a version older than the one we blocked browser autofill. (Self-hosted doesn't have the browser autofill feature yet)

We just recently enabled browser autofill for accessibility purposes. What are the labels being used on the fields? I'd hope the browser would be smart enough to know the difference between different email fields if they're labeled uniquely haha

The names of the 3 fields are Purchaser's Email, Department Administrative Assistant Email, and Additional Email Recipient.
