Business Processes Visible on Forms "Start Process" Page When Started by Workflow

asked on February 16

Hey all,

This is a bit difficult to explain.  I have various forms business processes that are started by Workflow (NOT a user clicking on a link)  that assigns the initial form as a task to a specific user.  However, users that have access rights to that process can see it and start it in their Forms "Start Process" page where no user will be assigned to the initial task since it's expected to be started by Workflow and so it immediately suspends.  Is there a way to not display these types of processes to users on "Start Process"?  Clear as mud?

Yep, that's where I was going with my question. If the users that need access are being assigned to a user task, they do not need to be listed in the Access Rights. Being in the Access Rights is what makes the process show up on the Start Process page.

Hi Eric. What role do the users that are assigned to the process have?

Hi Blake,

Yeah, I only had the users in there because I thought task assignees needed to be there.  So, I removed them.  That should do it.  Many thanks!

think (sorry, not positive) that this is controlled in the Access Rights for the form. This determines who can start it off. Users don't need to be in here in order to have tasks assigned to them, so remove whatever groups you have to keep them from starting the form.
