Start A Business Process From A Specifc Stage Based On Form Field Selection

Hello All,

Please I need ideas and inputs on this one.

I have an Investment Review Process that has 6 Stages of approvals.
Is there a way that I can Start the Process from a specific Stage rather than from Stage 1.

The scenario is that the approval process does not always follow the stages serially. The Approval process may start from stage 2 or 3.

CAn any please provide some guidance on how to achieve this?

Ideas I have had but not tested.

Create a Form Field that Lists all the 6 Stages so that I can select A stage in the drop down list and the corresponding page will be invoked

BTW I working in Laserfiche Cloud.

I don't see a way to automatically jump to a stage onload other than to build the logic into the BP.
Instead of starting with a message event, start with a listening event. Pass a value to the BP with the start rule, and then evaluate that in a Exclusive decision where the outflow goes to the appropriate stage starting point. A little trick to help you BP design could be to use Throw/Catch events to jump to the appropriate starting stage swim lane so you don't just have a bunch of lines running across your page.
