Has anybody had any luck setting up a direct database connection in Cloud to an AWS RDS instance of MSSQL or if this even possible? We've had issues with authentication timing out and just wondering if there are any specific configuration steps involved in RDS to consider.

While there are many configuration variables on the AWS side that come into play, we did test with AWS RDS successfully. I would suggest opening a support ticket so we can help troubleshoot with the necessary resources on our end. Please feel reach out to me as well as I'm interested in seeing this to resolution so we can incorporate any potential findings into our documentation.
