Laserfiche Cloud XML Read Activity Workflow Feature Request?

posted on January 15

Hello All

We currently have on Prem, with a lot of XML integrations into APIs which work well, We are currently evaluating Cloud as a future option.

Is this on the road map for cloud?

I'm sure i cant be the only one wanting this in cloud?

How is everybody currently using Cloud doing this without the use of a hybrid solution?

Hi All,

The original post referenced was back in Feb 2019 7 years ago, has anything moved on in terms of XML ingestion support in Laserfiche Cloud? Is it on the roadmap, will it ever be a thing?

Cheers!

Chris

EU Tax Reporting/E-Invoices
It is mandatory that all Domestic B2B Invoices are uploaded to a secure portal. Governments are choosing XML as the default language for upload and download, for E-Invoices in the EU.
If Laserfiche is to be used for Account Payable going forward in the cloud, this would make Laserfiche an non viable product due to the XML not being supported in the cloud. When this is supported out of the box in On-Prem Workflow.

API Integrations

Although JSON is becoming more accepted as the default choice when it comes to API language choice, it still is not used by the bigger companies for instance SWIFT, and the banking platforms which you would need to integrate into.

Its great being able to send the web request as XML
However what happens when the response comes back as XML and we want to read the XML, as tokens and update Forms / Template fields with the received response.
