I'll probably have to raise a support ticket for this but just wanted to put it out there before I do, just in case anyone else has experienced it.
We have a customer running Laserfiche 11 in a mix of Citrix and Windows 11 desktops and they are attempting to upload documents to what I believe is a SharePoint based portal by dragging and dropping directly from Laserfiche. Within Citrix this works, but not via the standard desktop. If they download the same files to their desktop and try the same drag and drop, this does work. They have also tried uploading to a different website that supports file uploads but they observe the same unless in Citrix.
I think the below maybe AI generated but was shared by the customer's IT:
In Citrix:
-
Drag-and-drop from Laserfiche is typically materialised as a temporary file on the client or server.
-
The browser receives a real filesystem object with content, similar to Windows Explorer.
-
Result: SharePoint sees a valid file → upload succeeds.
On a local Windows 11 desktop:
-
Laserfiche uses a virtual file / delayed-rendering mechanism (CFSTR_FILECONTENTS style).
-
Edge (Chromium) + SharePoint expects immediate access to file content.
-
The content stream is never delivered correctly → SharePoint thinks the file is empty (0 KB)
Anyone seen anything similar and managed to find a solution?
