Repository Trustee Not Found [9012]

asked on December 17, 2025

I have a user that is not able to edit a field in a template, so I have been trying to figure out why. One of the things I am trying to do is look at the Effective Rights on a template for the user in question. When I go the "View Effective Rights" tab and click the "Choose" button for "Repository trustee" I am able to select the user from the list provided. Once I select the user though I get the error "Trustee not found. [9012]". How can the trustee not be found when I just selected it from the list Laserfiche provided?

Error Code: 9012
Error Message: Trustee not found. [9012]

Thanks for reporting this issue!
And, what's kind of user account that you tried to look at the Effective Rights? (Repository user / LDAP user/ Windows User / LFDS User...)

I saw another link about LFS is LFS received an unrecognized or unexpected error from LFDS. Service Call=LookupNestedGroupMembership - Laserfiche Answers
Maybe this is the root cause of the issue.
You can verify it by checking the sidOrName value in LFS event log.

<Data Name="ServiceCalled">LookupNestedGroupMembership(database=XXXX,providerName=,sidOrName=XXXX,token=94h10bPi551o2d7i8M7Qymge/YOfDbLF/hDfAu8P4Uo=)</Data>
