I need to add a custom toolbar item that will launch a 3rd party application based on the document selected in the Desktop Client. This used to be a simple task available through the customize toolbar interface but I do not see it on version 12.

Question
Are custom toolbar buttons no longer supported? This used to be an out of the box option.

I managed to fix the issue. I had to completely remove the desktop client application, install 10.4, then upgrade and its now fixed. I've had so many different versions on my machine that it must have just gotten corrupted somehow.
Is this what you are referring to?
Yes, but for the desktop client
Here's what my toolbar custom options look like, you can see its missing. I've tried re-installing the most recent desktop client version but its still missing.
The ability to add a custom item on the toolbar works on other systems using the same version so not sure why or how mine is missing.
When you say it 'works on other systems' it is unclear whether you were attempting with your account or a different user account. Assuming it is a 'you' account issue have you confirmed that your account has the Manage Repository Configuration privilege?
Yes, my account has all of the admin level rights. What I meant by "My system" is the client installed on my PC. If I log into a different machine with the same account, the custom button is there. It's more of a bug is what I'm thinking at this point. I've tried clearing all user attributes, uninstalling the desktop client and re-install. I've tried updating the client to the latest version but the button is still missing. The machine I'm using is my development machine so I really just wanted to get it working before moving it to production.
