Hi,
We are uploading scanned documents into the LF Cloud repository. We are using Laserfiche Scanning Basic mode. We don't have the Perform OCR on new images checked.
The scanning part takes about 50 PPM. So in this case it took about 3 minutes to scan. The upload part is what is taking forever. Is it supposed to take this long for 130 pages? If you look at the snippets it took about 20 minutes to upload. We have 500MB up speed and we've allowed all domains and IP addresses based on the requirements that could be impacting the upload. Any insight on how to improve the upload time would be fantastic!

Hi,
Thanks for sharing the details. Based on what you described, the scanning speed seems normal, but the upload time does look longer than expected. Upload performance may be affected by several factors, such as:
- File size and type
- Image processing applied
- Location of the machine performing the upload relative to the Cloud Web Client region (US, CA, EU).
- Network latency
I tested a similar scenario with about 130 pages (no image processing, ~300MB total), scanning finished in about 1~2 minutes, but upload times varied significantly depending on region:
- Uploading from a machine in the same region as the Cloud Web Client: about 5 minutes
- Uploading across regions could take 20 minutes or more.
To help troubleshoot, could you please provide a bit more information?
- File Type
- Total File Size or average page size
- Image Processing Settings
- Machine region and Cloud Web Client region
